Philip Percy Field was born on 25 January 1869 in High Street, Acton, Middlesex, England.^{1,2,4,5,9,14,12,13,5,15,16,17,18,19,20,15,16,21,18} He and Lucy Anne Farrant were married on 16 April 1890 in St John's Church, Richmond, Surrey, England, The marriage was witnessed by his brother William Field and her sister Edith Emily Farrant.^5,22,5,19 He and Isabel Howat were married on 18 January 1936 in Toronto, Ontario, CanadaO.⁹ He died on 30 September 1959, at age 90, in Victoria Hospital, London, Middlesex, Ontario, Canada.^23,3,24 He was buried on 3 October 1959 in Prospect Cemetery, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.³

A pair of Royal Doulton Vases

This pair of Royal Doulton vases were given by Sir Ronald Doulton as a gift to his good friend Philip Percy Field. They were brought to Canada when the family immigrated in 1912. Philip named a son Ronald after his friend and the name has continued for three generations.

My great grandfather, Philip would place his used wooded matches in the vases after lighting his cigars and pipe. If you shake the vase you will hear them rattling around. I'm leaving the matches in the vases.
