John Mackenzie
Mackenzie was a keen sportsman, notably a salmon fisherman, and on retirement in 1984 he became the Scottish representative of the Atlantic Salmon Trust, in a tradition which had begun with the appointment of Vice-Admiral Sir Rufus Mackenzie (no relation) as the trust’s first director.
