Grandad was in the British Airforce ( RAF ). Mum thinks this photo was taken in Belgium / France or Germany where he was fighting however she is not 100% sure. Mum was told that not long after this photo was taken Grandad put his head back in the tank and a bomb landed nearby. We do not know who took the photo. Barbara was in the administration department in the war. Grandad found out that my mother was born via a telex that was sent to him with instructions on his next assignment and at the bottom " Barny, you had a girl". We think it was Barbara who got the msg through.
